network - cant find xp machine

we have 5 machines all connecting to a router which has broadband.. all machines apart from one are connected..

the machine has windowsxp home installed.. the network cabling is fine.. the network card is fine... its just the xp machine will not pick up the network.

any ideas suggestions.. our it technition is well and truly confused.

XP Home is not designed for network usage.

however, there may be a way to trick it. check you Ip settings, dns, gateway..
