Network Bridge Problem on Server 2003

I have Windows Server 2003 which is multihomed with 1 wired and 1 wireless ethernet card.
I need to be able to bridge the wireless and wired networks together.
DHCP is currently handled by a netgear DG834G wireless ADSL router on the Wireless network side of the network.
Both ethernet connections function as expected before bridging is configured.

As soon as I bridge the 2 nics the server cannot get an ip address from the router. Even if I configure the server with a static ip address on the same subnet as the router and add the default gateway address of the router in the properties I am unable to ping the Router with Request Timed Out.

Any ideas anyone as this is driving me crazy?
