Network Assessments

Besides basic ping, etc... Is anyone doing Network Assessments and if so what software are you using for this. I have several in mind and just trying to get the general census here.
 
I use NetIQ software, it is a expensive but very complete suite with call scripting, measurements and reporting.
It will find any weakness without a problem.
Do a google search on this : "Voip network assessment" and you will find enough info for a long night.
 
Way back in the early release of IPO V1.1, some of us went to the IP Office Masters group in Lincroft NJ. At that meeting this topic came up.
The gold standard accepted for Avaya Tier III & Tier IV support is Network Instruments Observer. They have the same software in their lab environment, whereas they can playback captures and see what you are seeing on the network. Make sure you get the Expert Version with at least one remote probe license. (Hey they owe me a big commission on this advertisement ;0) The software is expensive but worth every penny in a multi-node environment.
