I am trying to find the location of nprint.exe on our Novell 6.0 serve. It does not seem to be located in the sys volume as it was in earlier versions of novell?
do you mean NPRINTER.EXE? If it's there, it's in SYSUBLIC. Don't think it's still supported, and the one I found may have resulted from an upgrade, not a clean install.
No, it actually is nprint.exe which is used to spool out plain text files from dos-based applications... I found reference to it in Novell 5.1 documentation but not in 6.0 docs...
The reason we don't want to capture an LPT port to a queue is that we have 15 queues that we are adding to and removing from somewhat frequently. So it would be very hard to capture all the queues to each workstation and then maintain it in our organization....
I understand. Since NPRINT.EXE is a client utility, you should be able to use it even with NetWare 6, assuming you can find one. Most of the old utilities still do what they were designed for.
I found a copy of NPRINT.EXE on a netware 5.1 server dated 12/10/1996.. Latest one I can find. You also need NPRINT.MSG.
