If you are talking about the NetWare Portal Service... the Port is 8008.
If you have SLP properly configured on your Servers, you can verify this by issuing the folowing command at a Console Prompt...
DISPLAY SLP SERVICES PORTAL.NOVELL
The information that you will get back will look like the following...
service
ortal.novell://<IP ADDR>:8008/<SERVERNAME>
