I cant work out how to get Netscape Navigator (on a Mac)to go though MS proxy 2.0. Internet Explorer works fine, I tried copying the setup into NN but no joy.

The reason why im doing this is because: Although Nimda doesnt effect the Mac operating system. Macs can still be carriers and can still spread the virus. The virus is picked up by various versions of IE and windows/NT without the correct SP's and patches. I have secured all the PC's (clients 98 and Servers NT4) and the only place left unsecure is in though the macs. The only way I can see to protect them, is if they just dont use IE and use NN instead. But as per usual this isnt proving to be as easy as I had hoped.

Im completely new to NN and MACs and I cant think what else to do.

Any Ideas anyone?

If i am not mistaken, Netscape doesn't have to know it's using a proxy. Setting it to use the LAN, not through a proxy, to connect to the internet should work.

But hey, could be different for Macs!
