Netscape mangles DW pages 2

I've set up 2 sites using DW for the front page -

http://www.goodsams.org.au

and

http://www.thecentre.com.au.

In both cases the pages look fine in IE, but horribly mangled in Netscape 4.0

Can anyone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

it is the layers. Netscape oesn't like them.

Also I notice tha the page goes across to the right quite a lot without any content.

The pages don't look as if they need layers using some tables would get a similar result and sort out the horizontal scrolling.

It does appear that you are using layers and like Manic mentioned previously...Netscape does not understand them and therefore does do some mangling.

As a general rule I always build my sites using layers and then when I have everything set to where I want it...I go to Modify/Convert/Layers to Tables.

This will keep the same layout but will create tables from it inserting clear gifs if it needs to or whatever to make sure the positioning of the layers is recreated exactly into the table.

It is then perfect for IE or NS.

Give it a shot...I think you will like it. If you ever need to do some editing... the process is completely reversible...just Modify/Convert/Tables to Layers. Ya' Gotta Love It!X-)
