We changed the admin password on PDC and did not reboot. A few workstations restarted and had their netlogon service disabled. We could not do anything but reinstall NT Networking. This worked. We restarted the PDC and the netlogon service could not start on it either. We could not get it to start and no one could log in. We replaced the PDC but it opens up a whole bunch of other problems. Any ideas why this netlogon service would be affected by the password change and how to fix it?

What account is the netlogon service using when it starts?

There is no password on the service itself - it is set to system.

Which is as it should be. What error messages are you getting (event viewer and popup)?

yes - I have jetadmin running. The event view says something to the affect of netlogon can not start because of dependencies. When you look at NT Diags - Services, It says that Server service and NTLM are Start Pending

Try stopping the spooler service and then starting the netlogon service.
