Hello, I've got a netgear dg834.
I've registered with dyndns.org as it has a built in component to work with the site so I don't need a static IP.

The router has a firewall built into it and I've opened the ports that I thought need to be open and forwarded data to it to my server but I am completely unable to get access it remotely.

Have any of you tried setting up a windows 2000 server VPN with this router?

I think I may need to open up some more ports, does anyone know which ones the w2k server uses?

cheers

My msn messenger is mrman991@hotmail.com if that makes things any easier for people.

I think its TCP port 1723, and IP protocol ID 47 (GRE)for PPTP. For L2TP You need UDP 500 and IP protocol ID 50 (ESP). I've set this up a long time ago. If this isn't enough post back and I'll dig up my notes.
