Hi all,

WE have SAN backup implemented with solaris servers. 3 servers are on san with tape library.
We configured all 3 servers as media server & other sun server as master server.

To take backup i havce configured following

Master server name -- TEST
Media servers name -- A, B & C

volume pool -- A
media under this pool -- A00000

Policy A -- Client A, pool A , media server A
Policy B -- Client B, pool A , media server b
Policy C -- Client C, pool A , media server c

For policy A this works fine. For policy B & C it is giving error -- Unable to allocate new media for backup

Can i get help on this issue?

Requesting you to pl provide me your valuable sugggestions on this.

A media could be owned by only one Media server... it must be the explanation. Try to add new tapes and it will solve the problem.

Is there anywhere to configure to share the media among the server?

I don't think so...
Master and media could share the library, the drives ... but not the media.
