Windows 2003 R2 and a Tape drive Compaq AIT 50.
Veritas Netbackup Enterprise 6.0 first install.
After the installation it is not possible to go through the wizard for configuration. Errors on the event log and veritas logs comes with ids 334 and 25.
It seams to me that Veritas did not recognize its tape media. Anyhow it driver is listed on ODBC. so it is not the discussed case in this article:
beside i see this thread and same as to me the "Library Initialization failed."

On the Services netbackup enterprise media manager and resource broker did not start.

on the daemon and admin log files there are these errors:
<16> emmlib_initializeEx: (-) Failed to resolve EMM server reference

<16> bpstsinfo/update ERROR: unable to retrieve stu list from server
<16> vmd: terminating - CORBA communication error (195)
I install the " SymantecDeviceDriversforWindowsServers20070215_287850 " then reinstall the netbackup but did not work. Also i change the name of master server into FQDN but it did not work too.

Any idea?

load any MP yet? or just initial install?
MP might fix it. Anything else installed (Other backup programs?)

No i didnt install any MP or other backup softwares. just install and after install it did not work.

Save yourself some time and aggrevation. Order the 6.0 MP4 installation CD or else install 6.0 and then immediately install the MP4 before configuration.

Ok I installed the latest MP5 and again not work for me. During the upgrade it warned me about database error. When installation finished again i got this 334 error.
