I have recently introduced 2 new 2008r2 servers and dcpromo them in preperation of raising the domain level to 08. I have 2 03 servers left one a SQL server and one a DC. I have moved all roles and services from the DC and started expirencing name resolution problems. I feel confident the DNS issues are resolved however I still see troubles with the net commands. 3 machines appear on the net view list of all computers when net view is run, the 2 03 servers and a 2008r2 SQL server. Firewalls disabled by policy all are pingable. Hard coded ip info for dns winns and netBIOS are the same.
