net start /stop

On my NT4.0 sp6a server I've to start and stop a service named "monitorserverNT".
I've do an automatic cmd (Using net start/stop command) for this operation but I've the following error:

the requested pause or stop is not valid for this service.

If I use sc.exe the error message are the following:

Controlservice FAILED, rc = 1052
Startservice FAILED, rc = 1056

If I see my services with sclist.exe my "monitorserverNT" is on start pending and if I try to kill the process in task manager the message is access denied.

How I can resolve this problem ?

Hi Yizhar,

I dont'contact the developers of the service because this service works correctly on all of my servers.
I've reinstalled the application on this server but nothing .....
