I was installing a prog that prints birthday cards and such, not paying much attention but i noticed that
it was installing net framework. I let it go as it seems to me i had net framework on my last install and it didnt cause me any problems.
All done, reboot and now my pc boots up but it stops at my name and i have to click on my name.

I have myself as admin
guest (guest account is off)
asp.net - this is what has been added, i imagine?

Can i turn that off or somehow fix it so i wont have to click on my name each time i boot up? How? Is there anything else i can do, short of uninstalling net framework?
thanks for the help.

Yup, Linney strikes again!!

From what i read, in some cases, when net framework1.1 is installed, the "asp" portion of it has windows believing its another user account, (albeit its very limited from what i read, can only read, no write capabilities), but just enough for win to think its a user account. Its also hidden as well.
So the net framework sp1 has the fix to that built in.
Also, this doesnt happen, if i recall correctly, when net framework 1.0 is installed, only 1.1, and not each and every time, just on certain setups.

So i have kept a copy of sp1 right in with my copy of net framework1.1 and burned them together so i can install both next time around.

Thanks Linney, its great having you around here, you are so adept at finding m\soft and other pages to help fix issues! When these msoft os issues come up, i should be following your lead by now.
