hi,

i'm basically a newbie to website design (i've made only a few sites). during my research, i've heard a few people say that using nested tables isn't such a good idea. any thoughts on that?

right now i have only one nested table. so i could have a border around the outside of my pages, i made a table with a border and put another table (which had no border and included the actual content) inside it. if nested tables are bad, is there another way for me to get a border that only goes around the outside?

No, you continue using nested tables! Most sites contain them, they can get a little confusing if you have a shedload of them (regarding finding the right cell to change) but otherwise they are fine. Derren
