In a hasty hardware disastor recovery we very quickly built up a replacment 3.12 server. We did fine with all the data from tape backups and the saved bindery files but we mistakenly partitioned a 20 gig IDE with 4k blocks. It's all done and up and in service but I think the 4k block size is hindering the server's performace.

Is there a utility that will help me modify block size.

The 4k block shouldn't hinder performance. But it will require more memory. Maybe that's causing you to run low on resources.

I believe you can Modify the block size with either Server Magic or Portlock Storage Manager. But I haven't used it for this purpose so I don't know for sure. Those two software packages will be your best chance though, if any.

If those don't do it, you'll have to delete and recreate your volume with the correct size.
