Need to recover an overwritten Excel Spreadsheet

Have some one that replaced a file with a 5 month old back up. anyone know of a way to recover?

If the file was saved on a Network, get your network guys to restore it from backup (from before the changes were made). Other than that, AFAIK, there is no way of recovering the data. Once the file is overwritten, that is it. Rgds
