we have an NT 4, or a 4G hard drive, and i need to replace it with a bigger hard drive, what is the easiest way of gosting the old hard drive to the new one, ? any suggestions on any software ?
if you are only upgrading the hard drive, norton ghost is one of the way, but not always the easiest, I heard things about ghost being outdated and hard to use, but suggested to use PowerQuest's Partition magix, this kind of software is praticial only if you are doing the same machine configuation over 100+ times
personally, I think if you have all the drivers for your hardware and all your data backed up, just install the OS manually is faster
if you are not used to install the OS, you can probably go back and look at the imaging software option like mentioned above, however, always remember to backup your data before you try anything
EZ Gig is a simple hard drive to hard drive link that recreates the original HD on the new one. I've had generally good results with that for NT 4 and Win9x; not sure how well it handles Win2K or XP.
