Need to erase config, reset passwords - Cisco 3640

Hi there!

I'm a complete router idiot.

Due to a company closure, I've been tasked with shipping items out to their new homes.

One of these items is a 3640 that I've been ordered to erase all configuration in this router before shipping.

I have physical access to this router, and I do have a console config cable.

Anyone able to walk a newb through this procedure?

Hi,

Issue this command from the router prompt

"erase startup-config"

This will erase all configuration files and leave the Router just like new - without configuration.

When the new user switches it ON, the Router will start the initial configuration process...
