I have a home network with w2000 and a sony playstation2 attached to it, I am accesing the internet via ICS with my DSL modem. I can use online gaming with my PS2 as a client but cannot act as server. How do I open holes in my firewall so that the correct ports stay open for online gaming while posing as a server?

ICS is not a full-blown, configurable solution for sharing an Internet connection. If it does not work, then the next step would be to use NAT, which will allow you to configure multiple aspects of sharing the Internet connection.

Well I know it is not a full blown solution but it does allow redirection and port handling. However there is little or no documentation on this and I don't wish to switch to a product other than ICS.

Thanks.

ICS can do it, but if you are serious about getting it to work you should switch to another proxy or get a dsl router with port range forwarding. DSL routers cost around 100$ and will do what you are asking with no trouble.

If you want another proxy try Wingate. I have seen it up and working in the exact setup you describe.

Sorry I cannot help you on the ICS, but everyone I have talked to says ICS is not the way to go so I have not bothered to learn it.
