Hi All,
Working on a hotel phone system. Customers are dialing 1866 thinking they are dialing an 800 #. It is changing the room status.

I can't change the spre code due to some autodial programming that is actually programmed at the phoneset.

Is there a way to change the feature code 86 ?

Find an unused number in your dial plan and apply that to the FFC. That may be your point of least resistance.

no matter where you go, there you are.
"This participation is persona and does not represent the United States Census Bureau." They make me say this.

If you change the FFC from 86 to something else then, you would use the SPRE + whatever that number is that you change it to.

LD 15 is where you build these. To see what you have, Print in LD 21 (PRT, FFC, customer number, enter).

I don't think you can change the SPRE+86. That is not a flexible feature code but a system code.
You should be able to prevent guests from dialing 1 using pre-translation though.
Then, as rachelle suggests, you can create your own Flexible Feature Code (FFC) that staff can use.
You need to do it in LD 57 though, not 15.

Sorry, I got turned around. LD 57 is correct.

I can't block 1 in pretranslation as they have spre(1)+73 (system speed call list) programmed on all of the room phones.

These room phones are all programmed at the set. They are the funky hotel room phones.
