We are getting ready to switch to a new PRI circuit on a smart jack, and ATT wants us to test it first, by "building a test phone" in our PBX. This involves moving my option 11c to the new smart jack, and using a digital handset to(2008) dial out and receive calls.
I have switched it myself to test, and I can get out through the new smart jack (with no modifications to the PBX),but when I dial in with the test phone number supplied by ATT our digital announcer informs me that it is a none working number and to call our main number. I suspect all I have to do is tell the option 11c that it is a valid number and somehow route it to the test phone.
What is the proceedure to "build a phone" through an option11c so that it will go thru a DID to send / receive calls (I assume that will then kill the flag that is causing our announcement) that is not part of our regular DID extensions.
