Need to backup and restore Mics 0x32 unit

I have to admit that in the two/three years I have work with the Mics I have done everything from doing complete installations,upgrading, add-ons, replacing and almost everyhting else, but I have never done a backup and then restore the system before using the NRU 9 or 10 (true story), here is the situation I need to switch the main cabinet 0x32 and put a new cabinet 0x32, I have done the backup on the system using NRU 10, can someone guide me on what to expect and how the procedure should be to get my system back the way it was, without going throug the major hassle of reprogramming the entire system again, I know that I can go ahead and perform a restore and it should work, BUT I PREFERED NOT TO TAKE ANY CHANCES as there might be something I am over looking, thanks for your help.

2 T1 on 0x32 , 1 off-core T1
callpilot 150 with 85 mailboxes
85 T7316 phones with target lines assign to each phone

Since you were able to get the backup just fine, just select that database and click on restore. It is very user friendly. Nothing to worry about as long as you restore the right file for the right system and not get customers mixed up.

Are you keeping the same software and same software cartridge when you replace the cabinet

Thanks for your replys, And yes I an keeping the same software and software cartridge when I replace the cabinet, so everything is going back in except the cabinet is the only thing I will be replacing, ?is there something I should consider? thanks

Backup and restore is always a great idea anytime you make changes.
You should be able to pull the software and NVRAM cartridge from the old cabinet and slap it in the new without losing your programming. I'm not sure it will work if you are using an old DR5 cartridge, I have done it with 4.2 software and newer.

Well I do have XC 6.1 software .
So you are saying that I should have no problems just putting in the same software in the new cabinet 0 x32 and that I should not loose any programing, my voicemail should be fine and all the phones will have there existing target lines, etc, etc programing....sounds good.....let me know if any one else has further comments....as all comments are welcome. thanks

The voicemail is it's own separate unit with the MICS so there's no problem there.
We have an 0x32 in our lab that we use to preconfigure our new systems. It is the same unit we use everyday for calls to our PBX/Key department. We power it down, remove the existing software and cartridge as a unit, install the customer's software and NVRAM cartridge, power it up, go through the startup procedure, program the software to the customer's spec, power it down, remove and label the software and cartridge, slap our old software back in, power it up and voila! we have our programming back.
Call 800-4nortel for an ITAS engineer to completely verify what I've said. If you were wanting to upgrade software, that can be horrific and is a convoluted process that that is scary when you're dealing with a police department with 70+ sets. Someone else jump in here.
