GB
We have an exchange cluster environment. Active/passive
I have been tasked with re-allocating the disks.
Atm, All Raid 5
Database N drive- 88gb, 37gb free

As you can guess, everything is using N drive.

I will create Transaction drive mirrored disks of 36.4gb for better speed on new O drive.

Moving public folders and data stores is easy to new drives.

Q. - How do I move the data on M drive under Exchsrvr, folders include mailroot, mdbdata, mtadata etc?

I will use 7 x 72.6gb drives to store new Mailbox store, but I would rather not lose the 88gb on old M drive

thanks

if i'm reading you correctly, I've done this with exchange 2003, and it's as easy as going into the properties of the mailbox store(it's either the store or the server itself) and changing the location of the files from the gui. Once you click apply it makes the changes for you. It will move the existing logs and datastore for you.

My apologies, I'll try to be more informative this time :)

I know how to move the databases and logs, as Micron1090 stated above.

My Q. is about the other files i.e.
under mailroot, I can tell the system where to put bad mail, but does it move pickup & queue folders as well?
MTAData, what needs to be changed to move this.
Under exchangeserver_(Exchange server name), config, gatherlogs, and project folder, where in exchange do you tell it to move these?

thanks
