need somehelp with Dial By Name

Hi,

I am having trouble getting dial by name feature to work. I downloaded Dial by Name module from Avaya site and imported it. What I want to do is when someone call they reach AA, then press 9 to dial by name, when they press 9 they hear the prompt we recored not the system recording, if no name is found False condition goes to the Menu Action where they can choose 1 to Dial by Name again or 2 to be transfered to the front desk.


The way it is setup now is -

Start Point-->Dial By Name-->Assisted Transfer-->LeaveMail

True option from Dial By Name goes to Assisted Transfer and False goes back to Dial by Name.

Here is what I am trying to do -

I do not want to use default system prompt so we recoreded something and I put it in EntryPrompts of Dial by Name action, the problem is the system prompt is still playing after our prompt is played. How do I get rid of that system prompt saying "Enter Last name and press # sign" ?

The problem is when no name match is found it keeps going back to the Dial by Name option and plays only the system prompt (not the one we recorded), I created Menu action with prompt 1 and 2, where 1 connects back to the Dial By Name action and 2 transfer to the front desk, and connected the Menu action to False condition of Dial by Name action. The problem is when someone enters the wrong name or if name is not found it is not transfered to the Menu action, insted keep going back to the Dial by Name Action. Only way to get to the Menu Action is to press only # sign without anything before it.

Looks like it should work.. here is my setup that is a little different but pretty much the same.. ours allows for pressing 1 to choose by first name and 2 for last name and transfers to operator on false statements..

I don't think the entry prompts on dial by name really work.. but you can change the internal dial by first name wav by changing vm\wavs\enu\dbn_11.wav and vm\wavs\enu\dbn_12.wav assuming you are using the english languange for VM PRO.. (I checked both EN and ENU and ENU seemed to be the lady that was playing.. YMMV here is a list of all the system prompt Wav files and what they have in them...
