I'm running FreeBSD with Bind 8. I have a domain which has looked after by my previous ISP.
This week I graduated to ADSL with a different ISP and would like start managing my own domain. My ISP has given me one static IP and I'm running pppoe with nat and a gateway.
I've got the gateway running OK but having problems getting my head around named setup as an authorative dns server.
Am I getting too ambitious trying to run web, mail dns etc with one IP on one unit? Don't get a lot of traffic (20 or so a day).
I reckon that in order to respond to this problem I will probably need to post zones and reverse tables etc which I will gladly do.
