Option 11......what load and prompts do I use to acquire the serial numbers from phones on a system remotely????

inv generate

let that run, depends on the number of sets, may take an hour or more.. you do not have to stay logged in or in that load.. you will see inv complete

then ld 117

inv prt sets

that will give you the serial number of all the digital sets along with the as built and the actual type..

best way to go is inv generate midnight, so it runs every night, then you can print a list anytime you need as well as inv prt cards... that prt is perfect for putting into an excel

when typing in command "inv generate" it gives me the response "inv generate <option>" and then goes to the next line and gives me the =>....... what is this looking for if anything?

I found out you have to put in what you are trying to inventory after the command inv prt (sets)
