Need help!

Hey, if you goto

.. the bottom of the site seems to drop below its normal table view .. it is something to do with the javascript on the left handside, but can't seem to find the bug.. if anyone could help that would be awesome!!

I only see this while the images are loading, so presumably you've not specified a width or height for some of your images (a big no-no).

Try fixing the HTML and CSS validation errors, giving your images dimensions, and seeing if it still happens for you.

As I said, though... once the images are loaded, it looks fine for me (apart from the two stars at the upper-left and lower-left corner of the "Tour Dates" box in Firefox aren't positioned correctly).

Would you mind pointing us to a reference that backs you up on this being a "big no-no", Dan? My understanding is that only the src and the alt attributes are required. Details on the IMG tag.

Granted, they are not mandatory attributes... but pages are so much more graceful with them in. The browsers render the pages quicker as they don't have to constantly re-flow as the image dimensions are discovered.

If I had meant "not valid without them", I would have said so. I think you're being a bit obtuse, to be honest.

You are both correct, however. While the [tt]width=[/tt] and [tt]height=[/tt] attributes may not be required (as BabyJeffy pointed out), any experienced internet programmer has found (and every internet user has seen) that pages do indeed load more smoothly and with less "shuffling" (which, I believe, adds significantly to how professional a site appears) when the width and height of each image are pre-determined in the HTML code.
