While trying to use Dreamweaver, I faced the following problem: "this action cannot be completed because the other program is busy"... So, after surfing the web, I thought that Zone alarm could be a problem...so I uninstalled it, but nothing changed.

Then, I found that the "World Wide Web Publishing" is not starting properly. In fact, its status is "stopped".

And when I try to start this service, it says: "could not start the on local computer. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start."
And after some reading, I found that this service is related to the "IIS Admin" service which has problems as well. In fact, its status is also stopped, and when I try to start it, it says:
"could not start the IIS Admin service on Local computer. Error 13: the data is invalid". When I checked the event viewer, it says that it's the event ID id 7023...but I couldn't find any solutions for the whole problem.

I am clueless now!!!! I have been reading a lot of discussions, but I didn't find any that worked for my problem!!! Any advice is very appreciated.

I use Dreamweaver, but have never come across that problem. What exactly are you trying to do with Dreamweaver that gives you this message?

I am just trying to edit a new site or create a new one.
This problem happens after I click on these options on the "Site" from the menu.

According to Macromedia, ZA is the problem
One thing though - how did you uninstall ZA? From Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs? This will cause problems and not remove everything. See ZA's website for their uninstall program.

It sounds like you did some of it, but you could also check this

Thanks Smah!
I followed the links, but it didn't solve the problem even after reinstalling zone alarm. The majr problem is that IIS admin is not restarting at all...it says when i try to restart from the cmd line, that "IIS admin service is disabled". It's not starting anymore. So what to do now?

Did you uninstall according to the directions on ZA's website as I mentioned? If not, here's a link to the info:
You need to follow all the steps including the registry changes. Even when you uninstall ZA from add/remove programs, I think you will find that 'True Vector' is still running until you follow the instructions exactly.

Still having the same problem even after following the steps of uninstallation.
The problem is still that the service and IIS Admin service not starting when trying to do that.
I am getting the same message as before:

"And when I try to start this service, it says: "could not start the on local computer.
When I checked the event viewer, it says that it's the event ID id 7023...but I couldn't find any solutions for the whole problem"

Waiting to some new ideas!

Is there any other strange behavior going on that could be related? Does everything seem right if you try to create a new network connection? What happens if you release and renew your IP address with ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew? I suspect that there's something more going on, that you may not have noticed yet.

Hi,

I am also having the same problem with IIS on XP.
I have Zone alarm and Norton antivirus installed.

The on IIS refuses to start. Any ideas appreciated.
