Hello! I have a question regarding router to router VPN two-way initiated connection.
The scenario is to connect 2 routers using VPN.
The 1st router is the main office which connects to the other router over a 2 mbit SDSL line using two-way initiated connection.
Behind the router on the main office there are an Win 2K Domain Controller w/AD, SQL server 2000 and client computers. On the 2nd router there are an Win 2k Domain controller w/AD and client computers.
My question is, does the client computers behind the 2nd router get access to the SQL Databases on the SQL server behund the 1st router?
Did this make any sense to anyone? :)

It should if your VPN's are configured properly. I am confused aobut the two-way initiated connection though. I maintain 6 VPN's out of my main office to our field offices. I use GRE IPSEC tunnels using DES for encryption. I give the VPN links an ip address, using eigrp I am able to replicate all routes out to all offices. I use non-public IP addresses within my network (internet access is done via NAT) my production addresses are on the 172.16.0.0 network and my VPN's are using 192.168.1.0 addresses (I use this to help others identify my vpn interfaces).

I don't know if this is what you're looking for. It sounded like you were looking for information regarding how to setup the VPN. Update and I might be able to help you a little further...

*end users are just like computers, some you can work with...others just need a simple reBOOTing to fix their problems.*
