I did a major hardware upgrades to the computers at work (4 computers)but only one computer can connect to the server. Every computer is running XPpro SP2 but one is running 2kpro.
SERVER XPPRO Connected
SLAVE1 XPPRO Connected
SLAVE2 XPPRO (can't connect to network)
SLAVE3 Win2000 Pro (can't connect to network)
From the one XP box(salve2) it can't see the network, it does have access to the internet and is working and I can ping the XPserver and the 2kpro box but not the other XP box (slave1)
From the server I can ping all boxs but can only see Slave1 on the network.
From Slave1 I can't ping any box but can only see the server, and is networking fine.
Slave3 I don't care about right now.
I have double checked all the network settings and the workgroup names as well and all look to be ok.
I'm pulling my ears off trying to fix this problem, any ideas would be helpfull.
Thanks
Rob
Computers are like a bag of hammers, they won't do a damn thing until you pick it up and SMASH something with it!!
