Need help with a simple database write

Hi - Just starting to learn asp.net and i am having a problem writing to the database (access) locally.

i get the 'operation must use an updatable query' error.

I am using a example script off 4guysfromrolla, and a friend of mine says it works on his machine - and says it is my permissons, i have read into this and set as many permissons as far as i can see eg...(iusr_machine) on the db itself and folder containing the db and the temp folder.

Can anybody shed any light on anything i may be missing permisson wise ? or anything else that could be hampering my writing to db ?

IUSR is not the user that needs permissions. The defaults are:

Win2k3: Network Service
Win2k: ASPNET
WinXP: ASPNET

Thanks link9 ! i have been trying to sort this for ages (you've probably guessed im new to asp) and its been driving me nuts. Added the aspnet user permissons and now everything works spot on.
