Hi all
Hopefully there is someone out there that has been around long enough to help me out with this..
I am doing some work for a friend..and they still use an old style 5-1/4 floppy drive as well as a 3-1/4 drive..
I am trying to set up the system with both drives however it wont run stable. I keep getting a tone of errors etc at the boot. I have not had much experience with these older drives myself. I was wondering can anyone tell me the way to setup both of these drives on a system running windows 98se? I have them strung on the cable etc..putting the 5inch first then the 3inch second..
any ideas?
thanks so much
Kellye

5" at the end of the cable past the twist, 3" on the middle. Set up bios for a=1.2, b=1.44.
You are aware that there are multiple versions of 5" and 2 versions of 3" aren't you.
You will get continued errors if you are not dealing with dshd in both.
You might also want to set up your bios for seek on boot and make sure that drive swap isn't active. Ed Fair
