hai,
i am new to MS access,i have a db ,where i have one table called details and another table called divhead in divhead table i have a field called group and name ,and i have another table called inventory where i have all the details like (stock_no(field),group,division,date) i am keeping this as header and the details table as line details or subform.
both the details and the inventory table is linked with the stock_no field.now i want the subform(details) to be in such a way like i want to enter new datas nd when i add such datas i want certain field which i have in details table should be automatically looked up from divhead table and inserted into the details table.
and i also have a field called transaction date where i want the system to pick up the date and enter it into the table details as and when i enter new records and save it ,and when next day when i am entering datas i want the system to enter todays date in the transactiondate field,such that i can keep track of the transactions and also take some reports based on that dates.
hope this is possible,please help me out.
