need help now on sizing KB

how do I keep a pixel size (say 100) but lower the KB's to under 3000?
 
if you mean you need to keep the dimensions of your picture, but lower the file size, I would suggest "save for web." It has many options that affect size/ quality.
 
Be aware that save for web removes all metadata you may have added to your images...not very cool if your a professional photographer like myself....

While it is good to note that EXIF/metadata is stripped in the Save for Web function to reduce file size, it should also be noted that many professionals have good reason to remove metadata. You are not necessarily unprofessional if you choose to save files this way. The aspect of being professional is knowing the best way to save a file for a particular purpose.
