Can someone please tell me how to setup a IP600 for IP administration through clan. The setup with IP-Services is not the same as a G3 si/r with a sat terminal. What do I need to do please help.

admin thru the clan board using the sat option is not supported in defone. Telnet to the processor on the octopus cable on the back.

Would you happen to know what the login and password is to telnet in?

The default password if they have not been changed are login - lucent3 password lucent3. IP address is "defone"

I don't think it's a good idea to put up default passwords on the forum 'phoneuser'...
Sure it's a good help for lot's of Definity newbies who were abandoned by Avaya, but it's also a good help for obscure and malevolent indivuduals.
Furthermore it's Avaya's business which keeps us in business, so shouldn't we help keeping them in business?
Your opinion is greatly appreciated in this, so...shoot.

You are right right Maaten, I will keep that in mind next time!!!

The password will not work anyways it only works on the Definity One switches. As for phoneuser trying to help me out thanks you did the right thing that is what these message boards are for helping people. So what ever Mr. Instructor don't reply if you are just here to gripe and mone about what information that is provided.

also, please note that the lucent3 login only works before the license file is installed. after the file is installed, it requires ASG to get into the system with that login.

the default user login and pass is "defty" and "defty1" which, also the default passwords are available in the user documentation that comes with the IP600/Definity One, and is also available on their website..

Hmmm, I guess one will have to become a member to be allowed to 'gripe and moan' ;)
Sorry man, just keeping the peace here...sure you'll agree with me on the risks and complications of publishing passwords on the net in common! (Even though these were already GA - I didn't know that, thanks BuckWeet)

And Thank you.
