The hard disk in the processor was replaced recently and my Partner II sytem has to be re-programmed.
It has a 5 slot carrier with :
Slot #1 : Module 206E R3.
Slot #2 : Module 206EC R4.1
Slot #3 : Processor Module R3.1
Slot #4 : Partner Mail VS R1.1
Slot #5 : Empty
The following steps were done :
1. <Feature 00> <Sys Prog> <Sys Prog> <#98925327> to reset
2. Hunt Group Ext <Fea 00 etc) <#505><7><10)<1)
3. Group Call dist <fea 00 etc> <#206><7><01><1>repeat for
4 lines.
4. VMS Hunt Delay <#506><1>
5. VMS Hunt Schedule <#507><1>
6. Transfer return ext <#306><10>
7. Auto VMS Cover <#310><11><1> repeat for other extension

Then tried to Partner Mail VS System Programming by keying
<Intercom><777>, but a busy signal was heard.

Where have I done wrong, or what step did I skipped?

Umm, how about assigning the VM ports to hunt group #7, #505 instead of x10.

As hbiss said, only the VS ports go into hunt group 7. Make sure nothing but them are assigned and you should be good to go.

Hi:
#505 is for assigning extensions associated with the voice messaging system module to Hunt Group 7, according to the manual.
I have input <10) as the Extension, (i.e. the reception),
and input <7> as the Group #.
-[Feature][0][0][system prog][system prog][#]{505]
-[7] (Group)
-[10] (Reception Extension)
Please clarify and correct my understanding of the procedure

10 doesn't go into the hunt group 7, only your voice mail ports go in there. You can click on my link and give me a call if you need help understanding the programming.

Hi nusource,
Telprog is correct.

Hunt group 7 is a group of extensions that the phone system sends a call to for voice messaging service. This group has nothing at all to do with physical phones. Reception is normally where calls go after someone exits the attendant by pressing "0". Therefore, ext 10 can not possibly be part of the voicemail group.
It looks like ext 26 & 27 get assigned to hunt group 7. This assumes the unit is a two port VM.
