I'm tring to set up RAS on my W2K DC. My clients can authenticate but can't browse the network. They can find computers but the computers don't appear in my network places. Can someone help me? Thanks

How do you have RAS set up? (ie.. Protocols used for dial up accounts). More information can greatly help diagnose the issue. James Collins

My client is a WIN98 box and the protocols are TCP/IP, NetBEUI. I have a WINS server setup on my WIN2000 server, and I think it works fine because it has in his database an entry for the client. I can't use a DHCP server so I setup a static pool of addresses, only two public addresses, one for the server and one for the client. This addresses are assign in the right way, but I can't ping nothing but the server.I think I followed all the steps listed in Microsoft documentation, but it still doesn't work. Any other idea?

I have the same problems with ME. You can remove the NetBEUI from both the workstation and server and still do all you can now. The network places will still be empty.
Mine comes and goes. I'm still searching for the solution.
