Hearing around the office that 2gb is max size for access mdb. I hit about 1gb and get the "maximum database size exceeded" message. I wondered if the comment was made about access 2k.

This appears to be a "butt in the sling" deal, as I tested and tweaked my app with a smaller amount of records than the max required, just for the sake of speed when testing.

My mdb is heavily indexed, and I considered how this may affect my problem. Nearly as I can determine, the indexes are included in the actual size of the mdb, so that does not explain what my trouble might be. BTY, access97 is being used right now.

I searched microsoft's knowledge base every way I could think of and found lots of information. Unfortunately none of it applies to the question I am trying to research.

I also searched our archives here, but to no avail. Any help will be appreciated.
