Need copy of IE 5.x 1

I can't seem to find a site where I can get a full download of IE 5.1 (or 5.whatever). Any suggestions?

No sorry, the only place i can think of is the infamous CD that everyone receives from AOL or any other provider.

They usually carry Internet Explorer.



Sounds crazy but...did ou think about it???

Thanks, Sharky I did but I always toss them out as soon as I get them. Don't have any old ones laying around.

I have had a couple of complaints about a site regarding text layout with customers using IE 5.x so I had better find a copy to check it out.

Thanks folks, but unfortunately both of these links (and any other I have been able to find) are for Microsoft's Active Loader - which stops the installation once it sees I already have two versions of IE 6 on my computer. I need a full download.

Spent another hour today looking. This is becoming a challenge.

Ok i got ie5.5 on CD but it's 83 files 75.1mb they're might be zipped files of other applications in the folder???

It's a CD from my internet provider.

Do you have a ftp site??? It would take too much time to email.

The biggest zip is 4mb.... Have Fun...

Thanks very much Sharky but I set up an old machine here with 5.1 on it that I can test with. It works better this way anyway as I use dual monitors for my regular setup. This second machine allows me to bounce between screen resolutions easier and use 5.1
