I'm trying to update my 3com nic drivers on 2 NT4, sp6a servers and I get an error message that says you must be logged on as administrator, which I'am, why would this come up if I am logged on as the domain admin. Please help!

Maybe this will help....

Log on as the "local admin" or ... on the computer in question, add your account (or the domain admins group) into the local admins group.

If the machine is a member of the domain you should find that the Domain Admins group is already a member of the Local Administrators group.

I have come across this problem on a Win2K box, found an MS article saying that it was a timeout issue - I was a member of too many groups (????). Took myself out of the groups that didn't matter too much (Domain Admins usually have plenty of power when it comes to permissions on the network drives) and it worked fine.
Cheers,
Sam
