Need a starting point

I am sure this has been asked in this forumn before, but i cannot locate the information. i know nothing about sql, but believe it will be the best database to start using for my website. I want to know if anyone can recommend some starting points for me either links, or books or whatever. My knowledge so far is that i think I want sql server to exist on my win2k server. I really need a tool that i can use so i can build some database capability into my website, and possibly one that can grow.

I would suggest reading the FAQs in the SQL Server Programming forum would be a good place to start. There is an FAQ on Books and several on other resources.
