I have a database set up for peoples info (Name, Address, Phone Number and so on). On that form I have a Sub Form so I can put in there complaints when they call. There is Main / Sub / SubSub Issues.

Now I want to be able to query Main Issues for PLANNING (one of many in the list). I would like to have that Query PERMANENT and not change. I know if i put [ ] brackets in the Criteria it'll ask me to search that field. I don't want to be asked; just to search for it automatically.

Thanks in advance

Cricker:

The simple answer is to put like "*planning*" in the criteria line for the field.

But I'm not exactly sure what your table structures and their relationships are.

When user fills in a complaint, where does the info get stored? And what type of field does it get stored in, text or memo? You can not do searches on memo fields.

If you can be a bit more specific, maybe I can help.
