I just connected an NEC 2400 to a Cisco Call Manager via PRI. Station to station calling works fine but the Cisco can't call outside through the 2400. It's not a restriction thing. It has something to do with CDN 66 in the PRI B-channel route. The standard setting is 4 digits, which works for station to station calling between the systems. If I increase the digits to 12, I can call out long distance but then can't call local or station to station. What am I missing to make everything work correctly?

Have you set it up as a CCIS link? if you have thats probably me finished as I personally have never had to set one up but to get the most from the link I think thats the way to go.

I just went through the same scenario on a 2400 IPX and a rightfax server using PRI.

I was able to trick the 2400 with Sta to Sta in LCR by having the rightfax dial the whole number then stripping the area code and prefix. This doesn't hold true for local calls.

You may be able to tell the Cisco to add the access and area code for a local call then strip it in the 2400 in a different LCR dummy route and OPR. Play with it.

You will not be able to dial International as well as 911 from your Cisco unless you have trunking directly connected.

Gary,
Thanks for the help! Turns out, there was a 2nd T1 connection to the Cisco gateway and luckily the customer had another un-used T1 card so I connected another circuit as TIE lines and am sending all external outgoing calls over the TIE lines and switch to switch calls over the PRI.
