NDMP Error

Hi,

We use a central Backup Exec V10 Rev 5484 to backup numerous Windows servers. Once or twice a week, however, everything appears to get backed but the job status is "failed" with the following error:

Final Error: 0xe000feba An unknown error occurred within the NDMP subsytem.
Final Error Category: Resource Error

Has anybody else come across this?

Backup Exec uses NDMP to communicate with all Backup Exec Agents. This can be a problem if you have anything on port 10000 on your servers as well. If you are getting this error, the server can not communicate with the agent. Double check and make sure you do not any other service running on port 10000 on the servers with the agent that fail.

Hi,

Thanks for that. However, in the job log, it's not indicating communication problems with any of the agents. It seems to be talkingto everyone and peforming a backup. The only issue I am having if with open files on a Groupwise NetWare server but that's another issue I suspect.
