hey ppl! I'm new here. HOpe my first post is a successful one.
My infrastructure consists of 3 sites, one domain, all win2k(servers & workstations), nothing fancy!. Up until recently everythings been fine. But for some reason now 'all' the workstations are having a problem just connecting to & accessing shared printers off another workstation right next to each other:( I'll type '\\computer_name' in the
'Start/Run' window and get an error:(I can ping the workstation I'm trying to access by ip & NetBIOS name successfully. I run nbtstat -a <computer_name>
and get this:
What does the '$' after the computer name mean? Is it the same as C$ on a server? Would this be the cause of my problem?. Anyway, sorry for the long post. Any help is appreciated:D

That is a good one techie211. When you type nbtstat you get ":( Never seen that before. When you go into network Places and browse to teh PC with the shared printer, is the printer listed? Have you tried removing the shared printer from one of the PC's and reinstall it?
