hey ppl! I'm new here. HOpe my first post is a successful one.
My infrastructure consists of 3 sites, one domain, all win2k(servers & workstations), nothing fancy!. Up until recently everythings been fine. But for some reason now 'all' the workstations are having a problem just connecting to & accessing shared printers off another workstation right next to each other
I'll type '\\computer_name' in the
'Start/Run' window and get an error
I can ping the workstation I'm trying to access by ip & NetBIOS name successfully. I run nbtstat -a <computer_name>
and get this:
What does the '$' after the computer name mean? Is it the same as C$ on a server? Would this be the cause of my problem?. Anyway, sorry for the long post. Any help is appreciated
