NAV service not stopping on shutdown

The norton anti virus software service will not stop on one winnt4 workstation when the user shuts down then computer. Have not had the problem on any other computer. Tried to reinstall the software - no good. Just comes up with a box on exit with wait -> end task -> cancel. User does not want to end the task every time they shutdown as they assume there computer will turn off automatically (as it should). Any ideas?

Is this a desktop or notebook...? Does it have a floppy drive missing or not inserted, or some other type or removable media installed...? Heath

I have had it happen on one desktop computer and notebook. There are no floppy disks inserted and both have floppy drives. No other removeable media exists. It seems to just have trouble stopping the service on exit. I don not know why or how to stop it from happenning.

We're using NAV CE 7.5 now without problems - used to use v4.04 which used to have more of this sort of problem... Heath
