I have a Question about switching to Native Mode on the 2000 servers. I have just completed the upgrades on our servers to Win2000. One main site, that connects to six remote sites through T-1 connections to each site. Seven win2000 servers, and one Win2000 member server, I upgraded with the PDC first, and then each one slowly throughout time, and now complete with the servers from NT4.0 to Win2000. We also have Novell servers (Two of them) and use GroupWise6, and file sharing only, at our one main site, and the user’s computer uses the Novell Client 4.8 to connect to them. The six remote sites do not use the Novell Clients. Now I am at the point as to click on the “Change Mode” button, to change it to Native Mode. Most of the user’s computers are running NT 4.0, and some Windows 2000 Pro, and XP Pro. The NT 4.0 computers have the AD Client installed also.

Does anyone, and any comments, or things to look out for….Any responses greatly appreciated.

the main differences between two modes are :
1. at the native mode you'll have one more type of group added - universal group , has advantage if you have multi-domain org .
2. at the mixed mode you are able to add "bdcs" of NT4 to your domain ...

that's are the biggest diff .. so if you are not planning to join nt4 servers to your domain , go for it ... :)
