I don't think this is possible but asking just in case.

On the other systems I've worked on, we would have the customer's IT people forward a port on their network to the system's maintenance port's IP address, then from our office we would log in thru their public IP address, beautiful!

Is this possible on the IP Office? I have an embedded install coming up, if the best option is buying a cheap PC then so be it.

Thanks.

A secure connection either via ISDN dial-up or a VPN is better than port forwarding.
if this is your only option then do as HSM suggests & limit access only to your IP Addresses.

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

We always just sell a cheap $125.00 PC's (Check newegg.com, easy find) with no monitor or keyboard onsite and have a logmein.com service run on it for our IPO essential installs. (In the Bios we set the PC to boot on AC powerup so after any long power outages, the PC will always boot up.) This way we don't involve the IT guy and his changes in the future don't impact our remote access as long as our PC has internet access. We also install and use hmailserver on the same pc since 99% of our customers of those size are using some hosted email service these days, yet still want voicemail to email on essential, and hmailserver makes it quick and easy to use, and troubleshoot any issues using the realtime logs that actually make sense. (google apps for business being the most common email our smaller customers use.) Another advantage of a local PC onsite, is fast access to pulling manager configs, and you can do remote upgrades easily and safely. Some of these $125 PC's have been in the field for 5+ years now still working, saves the customer money, and allows us to give quicker more prompt service.

OK thanks guys. I'll try to remember to let you know what we decided to do on this install (first embedded).
